Step 1: Exfoliate and Moisturize Your Lips

Before applying, it’s important to prep your lips properly. Start by exfoliating your lips to remove any dry, flaky skin. You can use a lip scrub or gently rub your lips with a soft toothbrush in circular motions. This will help create a smooth canvas for the lip color to adhere to.

After exfoliating, moisturize your lips with a lip balm or lip conditioner. Let the moisturizer sink in for a few minutes before proceeding to the next step. It’s essential to keep your lips hydrated to ensure a comfortable wear and prevent the lip color from drying out your lips.

Step 2: Shake the Tube

LipSense comes in a unique packaging with a tube and an applicator wand. Before applying, make sure to shake the tube well to mix the color pigments and other ingredients thoroughly. This will ensure that the color is evenly distributed and provide the best results.

Step 3: Apply Color in Thin Layers

The key to application is to start with thin layers. The product is highly pigmented, and a little goes a long way. Using the applicator wand, apply a thin, even layer of color to your lips, starting from the outer corner and moving towards the center. Avoid pressing your lips together or rubbing them during application, as this can affect the longevity of the product.

Step 4: Apply Gloss

Once you have applied the desired number of color layers, it’s time to seal in the color with LipSense Gloss. The gloss is a clear, moisturizing topcoat that not only adds shine to your lips but also helps to lock in the color and extend its wear time.

Using the applicator wand, apply a thin layer of gloss over the entire lip area, including the color layers. You can choose from various finishes, such as glossy, matte, or shimmer, depending on your preference. The gloss will also help to moisturize your lips and keep them feeling soft and comfortable throughout the day.

Step 5: Touch Up as Needed

One of the benefits is its long-lasting formula, which can stay put for up to 18 hours. However, depending on your activities and eating habits, you may need to touch up your lip color during the day.
