BUYER BEWARE! Several vendors have popped up on the Internet as well as advertising with google for you to purchase LipSense, SeneGence, Sense Cosmetics, ShadowSense and even MakeSense Foundation at a substantial discount. Cosmetics just as in many other purchasers you make in life should be addressed as such…
If it sounds to good to be true then it probably is to good to be true. My other favorite saying is…
If it looks like a Duck, quacks like a Duck, then it probably is a DUCK.
I had a New, very disappointed Customer contact me that had just purchased Lip Sense semi permanent lipcolor from one such discounted vendor. Cheryl went on to tell me that she had purchased SheerBerry LipSense from a SeneGence Distributor in her area for several years and just loved the product. When she went to call her to order once again her Cosmetic Consultant was no longer selling LipSense. The client was quite excited to find that she could purchase what she thought was the same SheerBerry LipSense at a discount on the Internet. She received her LipSense last week and it did not work at all. When she tried to reach the Vendor, she was told that they have a NO RETURN policy. I told her that these vendors will be terminated immediately if they attempt to become a SeneGence Distributor and are caught trying to discount the product as they do. I know of distributors that have been terminated for this offense and one continues to pose as a LONG TERM SeneGence Distributor on the Internet while selling hers and others OLD merchandise to clients that think she is legit. Keep in mind that the only choice these types of vendors have to purchase LipSense, ShadowSense, MakeSense Foundation or for that matter any SeneGence product is to purchase OLD product from someone that has gone OUT OF BUSINESS.
SeneGence holds it distributors to a high code of ethics. If I should decide to run SeneGence out the door at a discount, I will have to prove to SeneGence that I am making a profit. Ladies….BE SMART and purchase only from a legitimate distributor.

LipSense is such a versatile semi permanent LipStain. What makes LipSense so unique aside from it’s long lasting, smudgeproof capability is the layering process. That layering process allows you to make 27 different colors out of just 3 LipSense lipsticks.
Recently, I had a current LipSense user named Nancy contact me regarding my specialized customer service recommendations. By adding just a few new colors to what she currently owns, she will be able to create a lipcolor to match every article of clothing she wears. Nancy went the distance in asking my opinion by sending me a picture of both herself and he mother. That makes my job so simple. Here is my reply below:
I am currently wearing LipSense Brick and top it with Beige Champagne LipSense. After looking at the picture, I think you look great in those LipSense colors. You need to add a few new LipSense and always keep Beige Champagne in the mix… another great addition to lighten up would be our Gold Champagne LipSense Highlighter . What are the Diamond Lipsense lipsticks ? The most simple answer to that question is that the Diamond colors are actually our most popular LipSense Classic colors with actual diamond dust. For example: Brick LipSense in Diamond LipSense is Square Brick. Funny! Thinking of a Square Diamond Shape.. I like to use the glossy gloss. Me too! It has the highest concentration of Shea Butter. I need something that is lighter for the weekends but I don’t want to look too washed out. It is very difficult to lighten up and not feel washed out. Due to the technology of lipsense you could lighten up by just wearing 1 layer of Brick LipSense with 2 layers of Beige Champagne LipSense on top. Other colors that I think you should consider would be Apple Cider LipSense( a very nondescript lighter, softer Peach tone color), Persimmon, Burnt Orange LipSense (Both are Rusty Orange with Persimmon having a bit of copper brown to it), Coral Reef LipSense (Deeper more Orange Coral and will work with every article of clothing in that Spring 2008 Coral Clothing Trend).
I have fair skin w/some freckles, dark blonde hair, hazel eyes. My coloring is warm and I am an Autumn coloring I’ve been told. I do not like mauves. You should never wear them either. I prefer more of a red, but on the light side, so I guess more understated. Yes & NO!!! We do not offer anything in a light red but the technology allows you to make a deep color soft and light. In addition to Brick…Take a look at the following Reds; Red Cherry LipSense (or Diamond LipSense Radiant Red), Blu-Red LipSense (not at all blue but a more orange red) I wear more of greens, reds, browns, blacks, blues (brighter shades more than pale).
What are your recommendations for colors? Let’s move on to your mother. Her eyes are looking Blue to me…Is that Correct. Does she enjoy Pinks? My 1st thought was 2 layers of LipSense Roseberry with layer of Pink Champagne LipSense on top followed by Glossy Gloss. She would also look good in Fire N Ice LipSense

It seems that I am asked this questions numerous times a week…”How do I choose the right lipstick color for me?”
My answer starts with “Do you feel you are Cool or Warm toned?”. That is always the basis for my decision on color…Right or Wrong. You see lipsense is quite a bit different than conventional lipstick. You have the ability to turn any cool toned color to warm or vice versa. At that point, I tell my customers that I love color. Color my world with all the colors of the rainbow and I will smile. You can choose a safe color of LipSense such as Currant or Sheer Berry or Dusty Rose LipSense …add a little Pink Champagne or Gold Champagne LipSense on top and you will have the perfect cool or warm toned color. I would prefer to match my lipsticks with the clothes I wear which means I most likely need many colors. I am warm toned but will often times wear a cool toned LipSense topped off with one of my new favorite LipSense which is Malted…LOVE IT!
Sincerely, I love the emails and the phone calls pertaining to color decisions but know when it comes to color….and especially LipSense Semi permanent lipstick…More is more fun!

I would like to encourage every woman that is reluctant at all to order LipSense Semi Permament Lipcolor to please feel free to contact me to answer any questions regarding LipSense, SeneGence or Sense Cosmetics. 
Sincerely, I am a consumer just like you and find it a bit scarry at times to order anything over the Internet for fear that I will not like it and want to return the product only to find out that the person I ordered it from disappeared from the face of this Earth. OK!! So I agree thats a bit over the top but just trying to offer comfort.

SeneGence recently sent out the following information regarding LipSense to distributors in the US, Australia and Canada. SeneGence does a wonderful job of providing us with useful information and aids to educate women on this incredible cosmetic line.
LipSense by SeneGence Long Lasting Liquid Lip Color is a non wax liquid lip color that stays on your skin for quite a while – a period of time ranging from a couple of hours up to 24 hours on some. How does it work?
HERE IS THE SCIENCE BEHIND LIPSENSE
LipSense Long Lasting Liquid Lip Color is made of a combination of ingredients some of which are:
SD Alcohol – 40 – SD Alcohol 40 is nothing close to isopropyl alcohol – or rubbing alcohol. In fact you need SD Alcohol 40 to apply LipSense to your skin. Rubbing alcohol instantly removes LipSense from the skin. (We do not recommend the use of rubbing alcohol on the skin because it dries out skin.) We formulate LipSense with SD Alcohol 40 because:
It is thinner than water and suspends the tiny particles within the formulae.
It evaporates from the skin upon the delivery of the technology to the skin. (Tingling” sensation felt on the lips when some first begins to use the color is the evaporation process of the SD Alcohol 40. This disappears as lower layers of skin’s moisture content is restored through the use of the gloss.)
Tiny Particles – The particles that help the color pigments to molecularly bind to the skin. (See Ingredient listing) Over time, the particles begin to ‘detach’ from the skin’s surface. The rate at which this occurs varies tremendously and is based upon the pH-balance of any one persons’ skin and the color they’ve chosen to wear for the day.
Color Pigments- Each tube of color has a varied formulation of which is used to arrive at a single color – often involving the use of many different color pigments. Some colors naturally last longer than others as some are thicker or richer in color pigmentations, while some are sheer and ‘thinner’ than others
Layering LipSense- Layering LipSense Semi Permanent Lipstain is a must due to the fact the color breaks down with the pH balance of the skin.
1st layer – touches the skin’s pH and will begin to break down first and fastest.
2nd layer – protected from the bottom away from the skin’s pH by the first layer.
3rd layer – protects the 2nd layer from the top down – prevents sheering of 2nd layer of color by keeping friction and saliva away.
The 3rd layer breaks down just like the 1st layer, but from the top down – The 2nd layer is sandwiched in between the 1st and the 3rd and is protected by both layers - for the longest period of use.
Bold Color – Sheer Look - If you like sheer colors but want to wear a thicker formulation that you know; once three layers is delivered to the skin will be too deep of a color than you are looking for – try layering 2 coats of a sheer color first – like Pink Shimmer or Beige Champagne as an ‘under coat’. Once 2 layers as been applied add the chosen color as the 3rd coat. (Depending upon the color – you may need only one under coat of another color.)
Staying Power of Mica - LipSense Lip Colors formulated with micas do not tend to wear as long as the solid matte shades of LipSense. Micas create shine and shimmer. They reflect light and are made of particles that are larger than color pigments. Micas may ‘flick off’ the skin with regular skin movements. Talking and scraping lip movements like drinking from a cup can facilitate this process. You can assume up to an hours time less wear time when wearing a mica color. (Hey…… I’ll take 4 – 10 hours of wear any day!)
